Beardmore Motors Ltd. began production of the Beardmore Taxi at Paisley, Scotland in 1919. They were considered to be the “Rolls-Royce of taxicabs.” In 1929 production was moved to North London. Weymann took over at Addlestone until they were bought out by Metropolitan-Cammell in 1966 who moved production to Washwood Heath, Birmingham where it all ended later that year.
